Hello I hope this find you well. I am shocked that we are soon to be in July, like is it just me or have this year felt like it is on x3 speed? For those of you that have listened to my new podcast SELF EDIT if not the link is here.
I did a big edit - I resigned from teaching.
Why?
Because it felt the right time.
Because I love coaching.
Because I gave teaching 20 years and coaching now feels the thing I should be doing.
Because I need to show myself I believe in myself.
Because I put myself first.
Because I needed to let go and feel the fear.
Because I want to know if I can.
Because I m worth it, to spend my time doing what brings me so much joy.
Can I just say this has been on my vision board for a few years now, but I was holding on and not fully believing in my new career. However, the universe just kept putting lots of signs in front of me that I could not ignore, recognition from my coaching clients, having consistent income, friends leaving, letting go of my identity as a teacher and stepping into being a life coach.
For some people these bigger life changes can just happen but for me it has been a gradual process and for me that is what I have needed. There isn't a right or a wrong way but action needs to take place however big or small. Whilst it may feel that everyone has just got where they are, we do not all show the things it took to get us there.
For you, you may not be looking to change your career but I think we are all looking for something to change for us in one way or another the question to ask yourself is what am I doing to make that happen?

Think of a time when you made a change and you are so glad that you did, what did you do to get there? How long did it take?
Who has made a change that has inspired you? what inspired you, how can that empower you?
Look into your future where you make the change how does that feel, is that what you want? what did you do to get there?
Change the route you take to work - see what you notice
Change your normal coffee order - it may be better or confirm you like your regular.
Changing things can often make us appreciate what we already have and what we like about it but we sometimes needed the change to see that. I love the book A Squash & A Squeeze by Julia Donaldson I am not suggesting you bring animals into your home by the way!
Write yourself a letter to you from your future self where you made that change for you. Connect with why it felt good, what you learnt. Just let the pen flows and see what comes through for you - surprising what does!
I know it can be scary but is it? Often we worry about the unknown our current reality in the present moment is normally ok. When you think of the things you have been worried to change in the past but once you did you were so glad. I would love to hear any changes you decide to make big or small.
