How do I know what coach to work with?
This investments is for you so of course you want that person to be someone that YOU feel comfortable with. Most coaches like to have a "connection' call which is a way to see how you might work together and if that person is the right coach for you! This is where listening to yourself and recognising what you need is a good start. I also think you just get a vibe from someone whether you feel you would like to connect with them. Look at the people you follow on social media, who out of those who you don't know but think you would be able to chat to freely.
Do I prefer someone who is empathetic and understanding or someone who is more direct and challenging?
What communication style works best for me? (e.g., supportive, structured, informal)

I am a proud mother to two teenage boys and I feel I try to always be a supportive person to all the people in my life. I adore my family and since working on my own Self Development I feel I am able to handle life stresses that come with raising a family with more understanding for both myself and them. I love being around friends and family, be it watching TV, dog walks or eating delicious food together.
I love getting lost in a great book especially when lounging in the sunshine. I adore travelling and exploring new places and old favourites with friends and family, I have lived in both America and Australia. I love cooking and baking for my family and friends.
I love that what I learn about myself through my own journey and life, I get things wrong, I don't always do or say the right things but I am able to reflect, own my wrongs and can honestly say I believe in myself which has taken me a while to be able to say let alone write it down and believe it!
I always try to be positive and happy but it took me a long time to really work on my inner self and really work on what I wanted to do with my life. My career has been in teaching for over 15 years and this has given me the opportunity to see what motivates, inspires and excites our children through being an Early Years Teacher.
I set up a charity drop in “listening service”, Just Talk, with some friends to give my local community the opportunity to talk and feel heard about whatever they want to talk about confidentially. I became an ICF coach in 2022, during lockdown really gave me time like it did for a lot of people to look at what I really wanted to do and for be that was to be a coach.
I have always loved helping people through listening and cheerleading them to where they want to be. So coaching was the obvious choice! It feels a real privilege to be able to be listen and hold space for people.
Since embarking on my training and my own self development journey I have truly seen the impact of getting a clear understanding of my goals through developing my own self confidence in different ways. I recognise my inner critic, compared to others, releasing the worry of what others 'might' be thinking.
I enjoy learning about myself and seeing how I can improve different aspects of my life. Life Coaching allows me to help people make their own changes to their life and for me to be there to listen and cheerlead them on to the life they desire.
